The heavy duty 18" diameter x 96" long canvas (10 oz. cotton army duck) windsock is the standard FAA size 1 windsock. It is the preferred size for use on airport runways, airstrips, hospital helipads, chemical plants and oil rigs.
Our windsocks are made in the USA to FAA specifications using the highest quality materials available. The throat and tail of the 18" windsock is reinforced with a triple hemmed band of white cotton duck fabric for additional durability. windsocks are sewn with UV resistant, bonded, polyester thread for enhanced durability. All windsocks are fitted with weather resistant #2 brass grommets for easy attachment to the frame. This windsock is fabricated using 10.10 oz. cotton army duck, which has been treated to be water repellent and mold resistant.
